Hi! My name is Azren. I'm open to part-time or full-time operations roles that fall into any of the 3 following categories.
• High social impact. Playing a role in the well-being of others fulfills me.
• High paying. The money would help me reach my personal financial goals and improve my current business, the Calgary Language Nerds.
• High learning curve. I want to maximize my positive contribution to society through the organizations I run in my lifetime. The more I learn that helps me accomplish this, the better.

Let me tell you a little bit more about me.
My family is from India, but I was raised in Calgary, Canada by a single mother. I still live here to this day along with most of my family.
Languages and travel have always been a part of my life.
I speak 5 languages and have been all over the world. I actually live abroad 1-2 months a year to learn new languages and maintain the fluency I have in the ones I already speak.
Aside from languages, I also love business operations.
My first business was a residential window cleaning franchise. I ran it from 2011 to 2016. I went from managing a single window cleaning crew to operating all of Central Canada.
I started a new business from scratch in 2016 called the Calgary Language Nerds (CLN).
My team and I taught over 10 languages to thousands of students over a period of 7 years. The reason that I started the CLN was because I wanted to combine my love of languages with my love of business. I still run this business today.
As things stand now, I don’t plan on ever retiring. There are too many things I want to do.
Over the next 60+ years of my life, I would like to experience running the following types of businesses:
• Language revitalization business
• Entertainment company
• Soft-skills consulting agency
• Non-profit organization
• Offer an essential product or service (I haven’t decided yet on which essential service/product.)

- Building and retaining high-performing teams through relationship-building, training, and coaching
- Ensuring a strong fit between the needs and values of the company and its employees by using active listening principles and plain, transparent speech
- Following a conflict resolution process with staff and customers to ensure long-term partnerships
- Providing feedback that is accurate, descriptive, specific, objective, and constructive to direct reports
- Solving complex problems by addressing the underlying cause of a problem instead of the surface-level symptoms
- Creating and executing a plan to hit business targets
- Running efficient and productive meetings with employees
- De-escalating emotionally charged situations with clients and with staff
- Prioritizing tasks to ensure the most urgent and impactful tasks are completed first
- Implementing various forms of sales and marketing strategies to reach organizational goals
